# Send Typing

**Introduction** 

This step sends a typing status notification to a specified channel.

**Description** 

When activated, it shows that the bot is typing a message in the channel. The typing status lasts for 10 seconds or until a message is sent, whichever comes first.

**Configuration**

* **Channel**: Choose the channel where the typing status will be displayed. This is a required field.

**Usage** 

Useful for creating a more interactive and responsive experience, signaling to users that a response or action is forthcoming from the bot.

**Permissions**

* Requires both "View Channel" and "Send Messages" permissions to send a typing notification in a guild channel.
