# Open Thread Channel

**Introduction**&#x20;

This step is designed to unarchive or reopen a previously archived thread channel within a guild, allowing members to resume activity in it.

**Configuration**

* **Channel**: Select the thread channel you wish to unarchive and reopen. This is a required field.

**Usage**&#x20;

Ideal for revitalizing discussions in threads that were previously archived, allowing for the continuation or resumption of conversations, or reactivating threads for ongoing relevance.

**Permissions**

* Requires the "Manage Threads" permission to reopen or unarchive thread channels in a guild.
