# Create Forum Channel

**Introduction** 

This step allows for the creation of a forum channel within a specified guild.

**Configuration**

1. **Guild**: Choose the guild where the forum channel will be created. This is a required setting.
2. **Name**: Name the forum channel. The name must be between 1 and 100 characters long. This is a required field.
3. **Category**: Optionally assign the forum channel to an existing category.

**Outputs**

* **Channel**: The forum channel created by this step. This variable can be used in subsequent steps for various purposes, such as setting permissions or creating initial posts.
