# Pin Message

**Introduction**&#x20;

This step is used to pin a specific message in a channel within a guild or private channel (custom bots).

**Configuration**

* **Message**: Select the message that you want to pin. This is a required field.

**Usage**&#x20;

Useful for highlighting important messages, announcements, rules, or any content that needs to be easily accessible and visible to all members of the channel.

**Permissions**

* Requires both the "View Channel" and "Manage Messages" permissions to pin messages in a channel.
