# Get Channel

**Introduction**

The "Get Channel" step retrieves information about a specific Discord channel. This step is useful for accessing channel details for use in automations.

**Configuration**

* **Connection**: Specifies the Discord bot connection to use. This parameter is required.
* **ID**: The ID of the channel to retrieve. This parameter is required.
* **Type**: Specifies the type of the channel (e.g., text, voice). This parameter is required.

**Outputs**

* **Channel**: The retrieved channel object, which includes details about the specified channel. This output can be null if the channel is not found.
