# Unpin Message

**Introduction** 

This step allows for the removal of a pinned message from a channel within a guild.

**Configuration**

* **Message**: Select the message that you want to unpin. This is a required field.

**Usage** 

Ideal for managing the pinned messages in a channel, ensuring that only relevant and current messages are highlighted.

**Permissions**

* Requires both "View Channel" and "Manage Messages" permissions to unpin messages in a channel.
